Democrat Proudly Proclaims ‘Ukrainian-Russian Border Is Our Border’

One Democrat lawmaker is now facing major backlash on social media after he dismissed efforts to fix President Joe Biden’s border crisis and instead declared that the Ukrainian border is more important — stating that the “Ukrainian-Russian border is our border.”

After Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) betrayed the American people by siding with Democrats and numerous establishment Republicans in voting to send yet another multi-billion-dollar aid package to fund the never-ending war in Ukraine, many conservatives were outraged — as Johnson vowed on several occasions to block all foreign aid bills until Congress could vote to address the border crisis.

Speaking during the debate on the $61 billion Ukraine aid package, Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-VA) essentially declared that the ongoing crisis at the U.S. southern border — which is leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths from fentanyl, numerous crimes committed by illegal aliens and untold numbers of children being sold into human trafficking — was not as important as funneling money to the corrupt Ukraine government.

“Some say we have to deal with our border first,” Connolly said, “The Ukrainian Russian border is our border!”

“It’s the border between depraved autocracy and freedom-loving people seeking our democratic way of life. Do we have a stake in that outcome?” he asked.

Connolly then answered his own question, saying: “Yes. Undeniably, yes.”

“Will we rise to the occasion?” he continued. “Will we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters who for 1,151 days have been holding off the depraved, thuggish dictator Vladimir Putin, who has respected no norms of warfare.”

As another slap in the face to Americans, the Ukraine aid package even included $300 million to fund Ukraine’s Border Patrol — revealing exactly how little Congress cares about the plight of the American people. Democrats insist that the U.S. border should be wide open to welcome millions of unvetted illegal aliens into the country, but they care about border security in a foreign nation that has no bearing on their own constituents.

Connolly’s comments weren’t the only example of Democrats’ obsession with Ukraine over America that came during the session addressing foreign aid — as videos went viral on social media showing leftist lawmakers proudly waving Ukrainian flags on the House floor after the bill passed. Many of these Democrats have likely never waved an American flag in their lives, but proudly waved the flag of a foreign country while chanting “Ukraine!”
