Video Shows Woman Throwing Burrito Bowl At Chipotle Worker

A violent incident at a Chipotle restaurant in Washington, D.C., has gone viral after a woman was filmed throwing a burrito bowl in the face of an employee. The altercation began when the woman complained that her UberEats order was missing meat and condiments. After being told the refund would have to come through UberEats, the woman became increasingly frustrated.

The woman went behind the counter and helped herself to two replacement burrito bowls. Employee Roberto Hernandez attempted to stop her by grabbing one of the bowls, but the woman responded by throwing the bowl in his face. Hernandez, who chose not to escalate the situation, walked away.

In an interview, the woman admitted her actions were wrong but still felt justified. She said once her food was taken by the staff, she had the right to retrieve new food. She also claimed that “men” at the store had previously assaulted her, adding to her anger.

Chipotle has confirmed it is filing a police report on Hernandez’s behalf. Hernandez, who is seeking more security at the restaurant, said he was left traumatized by the incident. The woman, who is threatening to sue Chipotle, faces heavy criticism for her actions.

Hernandez later expressed his hope that the food the woman took was worth the trouble, showing how serious the altercation had become.
