Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) recently criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, pointing to her campaign’s 92% staff turnover rate as evidence of her inability to lead. Speaking with Tucker Carlson, Vance highlighted this unusually high turnover as a serious red flag, indicating that Harris is unfit for the presidency.
“If 92% of your team can’t stay, it’s a clear sign of incompetence,” Vance said during the interview. He argued that this level of instability would raise concerns about Harris’s ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations, especially in times of crisis such as a war or international conflict. Vance expressed doubt that Harris could surround herself with competent advisers if so many people are unwilling to work with her.
Vance also discussed the challenges he and President Donald Trump could face if they win the 2024 election. One of the major issues will be implementing Trump’s policy on mass deportations, which Vance believes will face strong resistance. He predicted that critics would label these policies as “fascism in America.”
The Ohio senator also warned about potential financial challenges, specifically bond markets, that could hurt a second Trump administration. He explained that international investors may spike interest rates in retaliation for Trump’s economic policies aimed at bringing jobs back to America. Vance emphasized the need for a capable treasury secretary to manage these economic risks.
Vance and Carlson are scheduled to continue their discussion in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of Carlson’s live tour.
