USAID Leaders Locked Out As Trump’s DOGE Takes Another Deep State Stronghold

President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has delivered a major blow to the Deep State by sealing off the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and locking out its leadership. The agency’s main headquarters in Washington was cordoned off, leaving top officials cut off from their systems as DOGE assumed full control.

The operation began when DOGE agents took over USAID’s financial networks and restricted access to classified systems. More than 600 employees were locked out overnight, while two high-ranking security officials, including Director of Security John Voorhees, were placed on leave for resisting the takeover. By morning, yellow police tape blocked off the entrance, preventing any attempt by USAID officials to regain access.

Musk, who has been outspoken against the agency, confirmed on X that Trump had reviewed DOGE’s findings and supported shutting USAID down. The White House issued a statement calling out the agency’s history of mismanaged spending, revealing that taxpayer money has been used for DEI initiatives, electric vehicle subsidies, and LGBTQ outreach abroad instead of direct aid.

Investigations into USAID’s financial activities have also exposed ties to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company linked to Hunter Biden. Reports further indicate that USAID funds were used to indirectly support legal challenges against Trump, raising concerns that the agency had become a political weapon rather than a neutral aid organization.

Democrats and federal worker unions have launched lawsuits against DOGE and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, accusing them of unauthorized access to government financial data. Senate Democrats are also demanding that Secretary of State Marco Rubio provide answers regarding how DOGE operatives managed to secure USAID’s records and systems.

USAID’s website and internal records have been taken offline, and discussions are reportedly underway to fold the agency into the State Department. With its leadership removed and operations frozen, USAID’s ability to function remains in question as Trump’s battle against the Deep State gains momentum.
