Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux Blasts Kamala Harris For Unauthorized Use Of Image In Campaign Ad

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux has expressed outrage over the unauthorized use of his image in a Kamala Harris campaign ad that touts her record on border security. The ad, which features footage from a 2014 event in California’s Central Valley, shows Boudreaux and other law enforcement officials standing beside then-Attorney General Harris. However, Boudreaux claims that the ad is “misleading” and that his image was used without his consent.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Boudreaux made it clear that he does not support Harris’s presidential campaign. “I do not endorse Kamala Harris for President or any other political office,” Boudreaux said, emphasizing that his appearance in the ad was not a sign of endorsement. He also pointed out what he described as “misleading information” in the ad, particularly Harris’s claims of having a strong record on border security and crime prevention.

According to the ad, Harris, as a “border state prosecutor,” took on drug cartels and gang members, jailing those involved in smuggling operations. However, Boudreaux and other law enforcement officials in Southern California contest this narrative. Boudreaux criticized Harris for undercutting their efforts by defunding and shutting down task forces designed to combat crime in the region.

Boudreaux recounted Harris’s 2014 visit to the Central Valley, where she took credit for a major drug bust that local authorities had been investigating for years. He was particularly upset that Harris used images from that event to bolster her campaign, stating, “That ad is all smoke and mirrors. I do not support her.”

Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward, who also appeared in the ad without permission, shared Boudreaux’s frustration. Ward argued that it would have been a “professional courtesy” for Harris’s campaign to inform them that their images would be used. He further criticized Harris for her “hypocrisy” in claiming credit for law enforcement successes while allegedly undermining their efforts during her tenure as Attorney General.

Boudreaux concluded his remarks by reaffirming his support for former President Donald Trump, whom he believes is a stronger advocate for law enforcement and criminal justice. He also hinted at further actions to clarify the record and challenge the narrative presented in Harris’s ad.
