The trucking industry remains the lifeblood of commerce within the United States, and a growing number of drivers are expressing their intention to curtail deliveries to the Empire State following a ruling against former President Donald Trump.
A New York judge ordered the GOP presidential front-runner and other officials within the Trump Organization to shell out $355 million in fines as part of a civil fraud case. The ruling also prohibited Trump “from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in New York for a period of three years.”
One trucker explained his motivation to take a stand against the state, noting that others in his profession have expressed similar feelings.
“I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what — you f— around and find out,” he said in a recent video. “Do you know how f—ing hard it is to get into New York City with one of these motherf—ers? Man, f— that.”
He went on to assert that he and others willing to boycott New York would not face backlash from their bosses, whom he said “ain’t going to care if we deny the loads — we’ll just go somewhere else.”
Although indirectly, Trump weighed in on the concept via social media by sharing a Daily Mail report about the nascent trucker boycott.

Trump has consistently aligned himself with the truckers, and they in turn pledge their loyalty to him.

He also issued a lengthy social media statement on the matter, denouncing the ruling as a “Complete and Total SHAM.”
Taking aim at “Racist, Corrupt” New York Attorney General Letitia James and “Crooked” Judge Arthur Engoron for their involvement in the case, he determined that there “were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints” that would have warranted the claims against him and his company.
“The Democrat Club-controlled Judge Engoron has already been reversed four times on this case, a shameful record, and he will be reversed again,” the former president predicted. “We cannot let injustice stand, and we will fight Crooked Joe Biden’s weaponized persecution at every step.”
