The adult film industry has launched a campaign called “Hands Off My Porn,” falsely accusing President Donald Trump of planning to crack down on pornography through the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Despite these claims, Trump has clearly stated that he has no involvement in Project 2025 and is running on his own agenda, known as Agenda 47.
The campaign aims to tie Trump to the Heritage Foundation’s policy blueprint, but there is no evidence that Trump supports the project. His campaign has focused solely on Agenda 47, which outlines his policy goals for the next term, separate from Project 2025.
Harris’ allies in the adult film industry have used the campaign to paint a picture of a wide-reaching crackdown on the adult industry if Trump wins the election. They’ve also targeted conservatives like Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), both of whom have voiced concerns about pornography’s impact on families, but neither has pushed for criminalizing the industry.
While some states have passed stricter laws to prevent minors from accessing adult websites, such as Utah, Arkansas and Louisiana, these laws focus on age verification and are not part of any broader federal policy involving Trump or Project 2025.
Despite the efforts of Harris’ supporters, there is no evidence to support the claims that Trump will implement Project 2025, and he continues to focus on his own platform, Agenda 47.
