Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry (R-LA) announced that he will proudly display a Make America Great Again (MAGA) flag at the Governor’s Mansion on January 20 in celebration of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Landry made the announcement on social media Friday, calling on supporters across the state to join him.
“BREAKING: Governor Landry to fly Make America Great Again flag at Louisiana Governor’s Mansion on Jan. 20 in honor of the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump,” Landry posted. His message also encouraged citizens to show their support by raising MAGA flags at their own homes.
Landry’s decision is being seen as a strong gesture of loyalty to Trump, highlighting the former president’s deep support in Louisiana. The move is expected to resonate with Trump’s voter base and may inspire similar actions in other conservative-led states.
Elon Musk was right about what MAGA represents. This is nothing more than a Confederate Flag.
Jeff can keep playing these games and he will invoke this well-deserved, statewide strike–sooner than later.
MAGA DOES NOT CARRY THIS STATE.

This announcement follows House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) decision to keep American flags at full staff at the U.S. Capitol on Inauguration Day. President Joe Biden had ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of former President Jimmy Carter, but Johnson opted to delay that order by one day.
“On January 20th, the flags at the Capitol will fly at full-staff to celebrate our country coming together behind the inauguration of our 47th President, Donald Trump,” Johnson wrote in a statement. He confirmed that the flags would be lowered the next day to continue honoring Carter.
Love it!!

Landry and Johnson’s decisions showcase a unified front in Louisiana’s Republican leadership in support of Trump. Their actions reflect a broader effort to celebrate Trump’s return to the presidency despite opposition from political rivals.
The Governor’s Mansion is expected to draw attention on Inauguration Day as the MAGA flag flies high, symbolizing the continued influence of Trump’s movement across the state.
