Former music tycoon Suge Knight recently warned his longtime rival in the industry, Sean “Diddy” Combs, saying his life could be at risk because of undisclosed “secrets.”
Knight, whose real name is Marion Hugh Knight Jr., was the co-founder of Death Row Records, according to the Gateway Pundit.
In the 1990s, Knight was one of the prominent figures in hip-hop and played a major role in launching the careers of rap icons like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
Knight’s musical career was plagued by controversy and legal troubles. He is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a hit-and-run incident in 2015.
TMZ obtained an audio clip from Knight’s podcast, “Collect Call,” which was recorded from the former singer’s cell in a California state prison.
In the clip, Knight expresses concern for Diddy’s children before rebuking his longtime rival for tarnishing the image of hip-hop culture.
“It’s a bad day for hip-hop…for the culture…Black people, because if one looks bad, we all look bad. That’s definitely not nothing to cheer about. But I’ll tell you what, Puffy: your life is in danger,” Knight warned.
“Your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets, who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in. They gonna get you if they can,” he added.
The Gateway Pundit noted that Knight’s message becomes personal when the former singer advises Diddy to surrender to law enforcement, citing his decision to do so following a fatal hit-and-run incident in 2015. The ex-hip-hop artist also offered prison advice to his rival, warning against using the nickname “Brotherly Love” while behind bars.
Knight’s comments come after Homeland Security agents raided Diddy’s home in Los Angeles, California, as part of an investigation into human trafficking.

Producer Rodney Jones filed a lawsuit, claiming that Diddy used his connections with Prince Harry and other high-profile celebrities to “give himself and his associates legitimacy” while throwing human trafficking parties.
Notably, in 2007, Diddy and Harry were photographed together during a concert in the U.K., which was organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. One of Diddy’s neighbors in Los Angeles claimed that the infamous rapper invited minors to his home.
