Attorney General Pam Bondi is moving swiftly to implement President Donald Trump’s vision for restoring integrity to the Department of Justice. Bondi has already begun targeting entrenched Deep State operatives and policies that undermine national security and law enforcement.
One of Bondi’s first actions was launching the Weaponization Working Group, which will investigate politically motivated cases within the federal government. The group is expected to scrutinize high-profile cases, including prosecutions tied to January 6, to determine if federal agencies were misused for political purposes.
Bondi has also taken decisive action against sanctuary cities, ordering an immediate halt to federal funding for jurisdictions that refuse to comply with federal immigration enforcement. Under her directive, the Department of Justice will no longer provide grants or contracts to cities that shelter illegal immigrants from deportation.
In addition to cutting off funds, Bondi has directed the DOJ to investigate local and state officials who actively obstruct immigration enforcement. Federal authorities will be tasked with identifying jurisdictions that have interfered with deportations or refused to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The new leadership at the DOJ signals a broader effort to remove bureaucrats who have worked against Trump’s policies. Bondi has ordered a review of officials who participated in politically motivated investigations, with an emphasis on identifying those who abused their positions.
With Bondi taking immediate action, the DOJ is undergoing major shifts in priorities, ensuring that the agency is committed to enforcing the law without political bias. The administration has signaled that further steps will be taken to prevent government agencies from being used as tools for partisan agendas.
