Biden’s Migrant Entry App Now Used To Track And Deport Illegal Aliens

The CBP One app, once a tool used by the Biden administration to allow over a million migrants to enter the U.S., has been rebranded under President Donald Trump. Now called “CBP Home,” the app’s function has been reversed — it is now a means for illegal immigrants to self-report for deportation before facing forced removal.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced the changes Monday, saying the app now features a “Submit Intent To Depart” option. This allows migrants to notify immigration authorities of their decision to leave voluntarily, rather than risk arrest by ICE.

“The Biden administration exploited the CBP One app to allow more than a million illegal aliens to enter the U.S.,” Noem stated. “With the launch of CBP Home, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system.” She added that migrants who fail to leave will be located and deported, with no chance of returning.

Upon taking office, Trump immediately shut down Biden’s migrant entry program, which had allowed asylum seekers to schedule appointments at border checkpoints. ICE has also expanded nationwide deportation operations, ramping up arrests of individuals who have ignored past removal orders.

Meanwhile, DHS is ramping up deterrence measures. A massive ad campaign is warning would-be migrants that the U.S. is no longer an open border and that illegal crossings will result in deportation. Border officials have reported an unprecedented decline in illegal crossings, with many migrants deciding to turn back rather than risk removal.

The Trump administration has also announced a military-backed effort to process deportations faster, utilizing military transport and detention facilities to assist in the removal of tens of thousands of illegal migrants.
